Jesus put it simply in John 15:5 when He said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” These words remind us how much we need Jesus for our own transformation. Like branches connected to a vine, we can only become more loving, joyful, and peaceful by staying connected to Jesus.
Transforming into someone more like Jesus doesn't come from just trying harder; it comes from deepening our connection with Him. His love flowing through us is what makes us kinder, more patient, and gentler with everyone we meet. Consider whether those closest to you would notice these qualities in you more over time. That's a sign of Jesus working in you.
A great way to embrace this is by beginning each day talking to Jesus, asking Him to lead us in spreading His love. It could be through helping out, sharing encouraging words, or just being there for someone. These actions are the fruits of our life in Jesus.
To really live this way, we need to let Jesus, the vine, feed and support us. Staying connected to Him lets His life pour into ours, helping us grow in ways we never could by ourselves. This connection changes us into people full of His grace, love, and peace. Let's desire to stay rooted in Jesus, showing His love to the world through our lives.
